INTEGRATED NUTRIENT MANAGAMENT.

         Continuous cultivation of crops year after year without adding any manures and fertilizer depletes soil fertility. Therefore, it is necessary to use both organic manures and fertilizers to increase crop productivity to maintain soil fertility status. The main aim under this programme is to encourage farmers to use both organic manures and chemical fertilizers as an integrated approach for sustainable Agriculture. Various components viz. Green manuring, bio-composting, vermi-composting and distribution of Soil Health Cards. Therefore, Following are the activities achieved during 2016-17:

1. 70 Nos. of Vermi-composting units set up

2. 65 Nos. of farmer’s training and demonstration conducted on INM

3. 120 Nos. of Bio-composting units set up

4. 20220 Nos. of Soil samples analysed and Soil Health Cards distributed
