ONE DAY TRAINING ON DGCES(DIGITAL GENERAL CROP ESTIMATION SURVEY)

The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare new Delhi has launched Digital
General Crop Estimation Survey (DGCES) Which has re-engineered the existing
process of GCES with infusion of advanced technologies to improve the quality of
Crop Cutting Experiment (CCE) data and enhance the accuracy of crop yield
estimation.
The DGCES application enable States to collect real-time CCE data directly through
mobile app, while also facilitating yield estimation via a web portal. This system
ensures greater accuracy and transparency, while reducing manual interventions.
In this regard, the Department of Agriculture, Nagaland conducted one day
training on 31 st of January 2025. The resource persons for the training were Shri
Shaswat Yadev (Deputy Director, Agriculture Statistics, MA&FW) and Smti.
Rituparna Ghosh Paul (Consultant, Agriculture Statistics, MA&FW), the keynote
address was addressed by Shri Shaswat Yadev, in which he highlighted the
importance on DGCES web portal and Smti. Rituparna Ghosh Paul explain in detail
the uses of the CCE mobile applications.
The training was chaired by Shri Khriesezolie Kire Jt. Director (in Charge of Digital
Agriculture Mission) and welcome note and opening remark was pronounced by
Shri S. Yongchang Phom Addl. Director-1.
The training was attended by all the DAOs and SDAOs along with their field
functionaries. All together 145 trainees attended the training.
